Macedonian New Yorker with a passion for filmmaking, documentary storytelling, dance and anything creatively hands-on.
Ana Naumovska was born on August 25th, 1998 in Skopje, Macedonia and immigrated with her family to New York City in 2009. She began exploring her passion for filmmaking in her middle school days and made her first independent short in her senior year of high school titled "So Help Me God", which was awarded the Best Experimental Film award at the Our City My Story TriBeCa Film Festival in 2017. Ana is a BFA graduate from the City College of New York where she double majored in Film and Jewish Studies. Most of her work revolves around themes of immigration, family affairs, self- identity and aims to unveil internalized conflicts through external parallels -- such as the falling of Yugoslavia, or the symbolism of her grandmothers life. She most recently produced a narrative short titled "The Game" (2021), and aims to pursue producing and directing as her main focus in her filmmaking career.
